LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

My goal as a therapist is to provide each person compassionate psychotherapy that leads to satisfying changes, restoring balance, and living a more meaningful life. Successful therapy takes transparency, commitment, personal accountability, and mutual respect. I will work to help you identify inherent strengths, heal past and present wounds, and generate change from within yourself.

I provide a nonjudgmental space in which you can take an honest look at what is happening in your life as you grow and move forward. I do this by looking at underlying thoughts, feelings, actions and relationships that have contributed to the development and maintenance of the struggles that you are currently experiencing.   I value warmth, empathy and transparency in my approach to allow for you to feel safe and comfortable sharing your experiences. I am curious about your experiences, and my curiosity helps me to understand your perspective and develop treatment plans and interventions that are a match to you. Therapy looks and feels different for each individual person however therapy should be a supportive and collaborative relationship that fosters personal growth, self-reflection, and builds off of the areas you already do so well.  At times through the therapy process I will guide the discussion in order for you to discover more about yourself and the areas you struggle. Other times I am direct and prescribe interventions and skills that I have you practice in the session. I may provide homework from time to time which can be used to help transition the work that is done in the therapy session outside of the office. This gets people the biggest bang out of their therapy time.

I have my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from UW Milwaukee, and my Master’s degree of Science and Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW Oshkosh.  I have specialized training in family therapy. I practice co-parenting, family therapy, couples therapy and individual therapy for ages 10 and up, in the treatment of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, mood disorders, behavior issues, life transitions, stress management, family conflict, relationship struggles, parenting and co-parenting.
